Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices and patient care, ensuring a comfortable and effective experience for our patients. This role requires proficiency in various dental procedures, along with excellent communication skills to educate patients on oral health.
Duties
Perform dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record system.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
Monitor and record vital signs as part of the patient assessment process.
Stay current with dental terminology and medical terminology relevant to patient care.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality patient care in a supportive environment.
Qualifications
Knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and dental procedures.
Strong understanding of patient care principles, including comfort measures during treatments.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment.
Understanding of dental clinic operations and procedures.
