Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team! In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care through thorough dental cleanings, patient education, and preventive treatments. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health and ensure a positive experience for every patient. With this position we are not only looking for somebody to aid in the health of our patients, but to be a contributing member of the team!
Duties
Work alongside the dentist to perform comprehensive care including prophys and scaling and root planing.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental x-ray equipment, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
Conduct Health Through Oral Wellness assessments.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term oral health.
Maintain accurate and detailed dental records and documentation within Eaglesoft
Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental equipment, to uphold the highest standards of infection control.
Ability to discuss treatment planned by the doctor with the patient including discussing intraoral photographs and radiographs
Qualifications
Valid South Dakota Dental Hygienist license
Experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments
Experience with minimally invasive treatments like SDF
Strong knowledge of dental equipment operation, dental assisting procedures, and dental x-ray techniques.
Excellent client communication skills with a focus on patient care and education
Pay: $44.00 - $48.00 per hour
