Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings, educate patients on oral hygiene practices. If you are passionate about oral health and have excellent communication skills, we would love to hear from you.
Duties:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing
- Take dental x-rays
- Assess patients' oral health and identify any signs of disease or abnormalities
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions
- Administer local anesthesia as directed by the dentist
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic dental software (Open-dental)
- Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality
- Assist with medical coding and documentation as needed
Requirements:
- Valid Dental Hygiene license in MA
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
- knowledge of Dental coding and documentation practices
- Familiarity with dental office procedures and protocols
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Pay: From $49.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 per week
