Dental Hygienist (RDH)

Practice Overview Healthy Smile Dentistry is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic Licensed Dental Hygienist to join our patient-centered team. Our practice prioritizes compassionate care, professional excellence, and a supportive workplace environment.

Role Overview In this position, you will deliver high-quality preventative clinical care and partner with our dentist to manage patient oral health. Duties involve clinical cleanings, diagnostic screenings, and individualized patient education within an indirect supervision setting.

Core Responsibilities
Deliver preventative prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and necessary scaling/root planing care
Complete thorough health history updates and clinical assessments
Expose and review diagnostic dental radiographs per state standards
Educate individuals on proper home care, disease prevention, and active treatment options
Perform initial oral screenings and relay diagnostic findings to the attending dentist
Administer localized clinical preventatives including sealants and topical fluoride
Maintain complete clinical documentation and charts accurately
Adhere strictly to state safety, infection control, sterilization, and HIPAA regulations
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications & Requirements
Active California Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) credential
Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene educational program
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification
Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with electronic dental records platform preferred
