Dental Hygienist (RDH) — Pediatric Practice
Lake Forest Pediatric Dentistry — Lake Forest, IL
Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Pay: $50–$60 per hour, depending on experience. The upper range reflects pediatric experience and local anesthesia and nitrous oxide certification.

At Lake Forest Pediatric Dentistry, we're a tight-knit team dedicated to providing exceptional, compassionate dental care to children in a fun and welcoming environment — with a 4-day work week and Fridays off all summer. We're looking for a warm, skilled Registered Dental Hygienist who genuinely enjoys working with kids and wants to help build lifelong healthy habits.

What you'll do:
· Preventive Care: Perform prophylaxis, scaling, sealants, and fluoride applications.
· Patient Education: Teach kids and parents brushing, flossing, diet, and habit guidance in a way that's encouraging and age-appropriate.
· Assessment & Imaging: Take and evaluate digital radiographs, complete oral health assessments, and document findings for the diagnosis.
· Behavior Guidance: Use appropriate techniques to create and maintain exceptional experiences for our patients.
· Records Management: Maintain accurate, confidential clinical documentation in full compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards.
· Team Collaboration: Work closely with our doctors and assistants on treatment planning, sterilization protocols, and operatory readiness.
What we're looking for:
· Licensure: Current Illinois Dental Hygienist license (or license-eligible).New graduates are welcome to apply.
· Pediatric experience not required: If you're coming from a general practice and want to focus on kids, we'll provide advanced training to help you make the transition.
· Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. An empathetic, cheerful demeanor is a must when working with children and parents.
· Clinical Judgment: Strong attention to detail, sound infection-control practice, and comfort working efficiently in a busy schedule.
· Nice to have: Local anesthesia certification, nitrous oxide certification, and efficiency with practice management software.
