Overview
Our family dental office is looking for a dental hygienist to join us!
Are you tired of the corporate world of selling things to patients? Not with us!
Are you tired of the corporate heads who know nothing about treating patients? Not with us!
Do you waste time everyday on huddles and reviews? Not with us!
Are you expected to meet a production goal? Not with us!
Are you a new RDH who wants to find a great environment where your main responsibililty is providing great oral care to your patients and teaching them how to do the same at home?
Are you a skilled veteran RDH who wants to work either FT or PT in a great NO DRAMA office?
Are you an RDH who is looking for some extra hours to pay for that trip or your child's college fund?
At our office, our hygienists see one patient an hour. You can take the time to really educate your patient on their oral care. Our dentists appreciate your skills! Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate oral health and identify potential issues.
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize medical imaging technology to capture diagnostic images as needed.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Ensure that all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained.
Requirements
Valid Dental Hygienist license in Virginia.
Proficiency with Dentrix or similar dental software systems.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, general dentistry practices, and medical terminology.
Excellence in the areas of infection control and sterilization.
Experience in patient assessment and providing patient education on oral health.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
