Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.

Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using digital imaging technology while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health.

Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records using Open dental & Dexis
Manage infection prevention measures by adhering to aseptic techniques, sterilizing equipment, and following healthcare infection control standards.

Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as reviewing documentation, updating medical records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Stay current with dental terminology, medical coding practices, and technological advancements in dental equipment to enhance patient care quality.

Experience
Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a busy dental clinic or healthcare setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures.

Familiarity with digital imaging systems such as Open Dental and Dexis for managing patient records efficiently.

Strong understanding of pediatric dentistry principles to comfortably treat pediatric patients with patience and professionalism.

Expertise in four-handed dentistry techniques that promote efficiency during procedures while maintaining patient comfort.

Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and medical imaging to support comprehensive patient assessments.

Experience in infection prevention management, including sterilization protocols and aseptic techniques aligned with healthcare standards.

Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, providing clear instructions on dental care and fostering a positive experience.
