Job Description
Overview
Join our professional and friendly dental team as a Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care in a friendly, professional environment. We are a small private practice office with a solid patient base. In this role, you will utilize your expertise to promote oral health, perform thorough dental cleanings, and support the overall well-being of our patients. Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including prophy, scaling, root planing, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
Take medical imaging such as X-rays, intraoral pictures and digital scans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix.
Adhere strictly to infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
Valid Florida Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene
Proven experience with dental office management software such as Dentrix.
Proven experience with taking dental xrays, intraoral pictures and digital scans.
CPR Certification
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control protocols.
Experience working in general dentistry settings as a hygienist.
Familiarity with vital signs monitoring, medical coding, documentation review, and medical records management.

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
