Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, excellent clinical skills, and a thorough understanding of dental procedures and hygiene practices. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health, providing preventive care, and supporting overall patient well-being within a professional and welcoming environment. Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup on patients of all ages.
Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and reviewing medical records for accurate documentation.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to individual needs.
Operate dental equipment such as digital radiography systems for dental imaging while maintaining strict infection control protocols.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care activities in electronic medical records (EMR) systems using Eaglesoft.
Ensure aseptic techniques are followed rigorously to prevent cross-contamination and uphold infection control standards.
Review treatment plans with patients, explaining procedures clearly using appropriate dental terminology.
Adhere to HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice in Texas.
Preferred experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or dental clinic environments with familiarity using Eaglesoft.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse patient populations, including pediatrics.
Experience with dental coding related to dental procedures is advantageous but not mandatory.
Knowledge of dental terminology, vital signs monitoring, and basic dental imaging procedures.
