Join our dynamic dental team as a Temporary Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your clinical expertise while supporting our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of oral health. As a key member of our dental practice, you will provide comprehensive hygiene services, assist with patient assessments, and ensure infection control protocols are meticulously followed. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for every patient you serve. This is not an assisted hygiene role. 1 hour appointments with a 1 hour lunch. Full time benefits for 32 hours a week.

Responsibilities
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to promote optimal oral health for patients of all ages, with a focus on pediatric dentistry when applicable
Take and record vital signs, medical history updates, and dental imaging to support accurate patient assessments
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to maximize efficiency and comfort
Review and update medical records, ensuring HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation of patient interactions
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies tailored to pediatric and general dentistry needs
Maintain strict infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures
Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix to document treatment details accurately and review medical coding as needed
Experience
Prior experience working as a dental hygienist in a busy dental office or clinic setting is preferred
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control protocols
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry procedures and patient care techniques for children is advantageous
Proficiency in dental assisting tasks such as chairside assisting and medical imaging is highly desirable
Experience with EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, along with understanding of medical coding and documentation review processes
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology to ensure confidentiality and compliance in all patient interactions
