The team at Thornhill Family Smiles Dental located in Thornhill, Ontario is looking for a passionate, hard-working Registered Dental Hygienist on a Part-time basis.
The ideal Registered Dental Hygienist for our team will be highly motivated to educate patients on preventative dental care and oral hygiene, as well as empower them in their commitment to good oral health by developing treatment plans and home care routines tailored towards the patients’ needs.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and have a strong commitment to promoting oral health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in educating patients about dental hygiene practices and ensuring their comfort during visits. We are looking for 4-5 fixed days hygienist.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess the oral health of patients.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate records using Dentrix or similar dental software.
Assist with periodontal therapy and provide support for orthodontic treatments when necessary.
Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient concerns and inquiries effectively.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Currently registered or in process of registering with the:
College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO)
2 years of experience is required
Experience with dental practice management software such as Albeldent is considered an asset
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and families
Customer service mindset
