Job Description
National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program:
Through this program, full-time providers can receive up to $50,000 in tax-free loan repayment for an initial two-year service commitment, while half-time providers may receive up to $25,000 for a two-year commitment. These funds are applied toward qualifying student loans and are exempt from federal income and employment taxes.
Responsibilities
Promote dental health by performing the following duties:
Clean teeth and examine patients for oral diseases such as gingivitis.
Provide preventive dental care.
Evaluate patients' oral health and determine appropriate treatment plans.
Perform dental prophylaxis.
Perform scaling and root planing.
Conduct oral cancer screenings.
Perform radiographic studies (dental X-rays).
Record and chart patient information electronically.
Take vital signs as needed.
Educate patients on ways to improve and maintain good oral health.
Answer patient questions and provide helpful educational materials.
Prepare treatment areas in accordance with department policies and procedures.
Prepare patients for treatment.
Review patient records and evaluate oral health findings.
Maintain, sterilize, and sharpen dental hygiene equipment and instruments.
Precept and mentor students and residents as needed.
Track patient care and treatment plans.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information, including protected health information (PHI).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45.00 - $48.00 per hour
