Job Description
We are Verona Family Dental in Verona, Wisconsin, otherwise known as “Hometown USA”!
We are looking for a Temporary Dental Hygienist for 2-3 days/week to cover maternity leave from approximately mid December 2026 through April 2027. We are a busy, growing privately owned practice with a fantastic reputation for our quality care and exceptional friendliness.
We are committed to putting our team first in any way we can - we recognize that if we are not happy and full-filled in and outside of work, we can't expect to be able to provide the exceptional care our patients expect and deserve. We understand you have an important life outside of the office and want you to embrace that life. In the office, we truly work as a team, even on the hard days... maybe even more on the hard days! We schedule adult prophys for 60-minute appointments. Our Dental Hygienists tell us they practice at Verona Family Dental because we are laid-back, kind dentists who foster a stress-free work environment.
Working days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Our hours are 7 am - 3:30 pm with a pre-patient Huddle at 6:50 am and a half-hour break from 12-12:30pm.
Pay rate will be determined based on experience.
Requirements for employment include:
· Remarkable friendliness and kindness
· Knowledge of oral health and ability to educate in a kind manner
· Team-based attitude, willingness to cooperate and pitch in
· Competent in digital charts, typing and navigating computer software
· Knowledge of prophylaxis, SRP, periodontal disease diagnosing and treatment
· State license in dental hygiene
· Licensed in administering local anesthetics
· CPR certification
· Fluoride and sealant application
· Maintaining and sterilizing dental instruments
· Taking health histories and medical records
· Probing measurements
