Calian is proud to continue a long-standing contractual relationship with the Department of National Defence (DND) to provide healthcare services to the Canadian Armed Forces. Through the Health Care Provider Contract, Calian employs health care professionals across Canada who are integral to supporting the health and wellbeing of our military members.
Position Overview
Calian is currently seeking a Dental Hygienist to work at CFB Wainwright 4 days a week (Monday – Thursday). The Dental Hygienist functions as a member of the dental health care team in the provision of quality dental treatment, therapeutic care and the provision of limited procedures and services as directed by a licensed Dentist. This role is ideal if you have an interest in treating the military population. This is a rewarding position where you would make a difference in the lives of the men and women who serve our country and keep us safe.

Responsibilities
Perform scaling, root planning, polishing procedures, desensitizing agents, occlusal sealants and anti-cariogenic agents
Provide oral hygiene instructions, nutritional counselling and smoking cessation
Conduct periodontal examinations and record clinical findings
Take digital radiographs
Provide administrative support such as updating patient databases, scheduling programs, and maintaining patient records
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program
Registered within the Dental Hygienist Association of Alberta
CPR Level C
Additional Requirements
You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level
