Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting oral health. Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current oral health status
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options
Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques
Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office standards
Monitor and document patient responses during procedures, ensuring comfort and safety at all times
Requirements
Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice
Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation and record keeping
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques
Experience with pediatric dentistry is highly preferred, along with familiarity in general dentistry procedures
Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care standards
Knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding, EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, and medical records management
Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate with team members
Salary From $45 per hour Depending on experience
