Dental Hygienist

Our growing practice is seeking a Dental Hygienist to join our team! Ideal candidate must have excellent communication and customer service skills. Must be organized and able to work well as part of a team. · General Dental Office
· Office Hours: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 7:30 am – 5:30 pm; Wednesday 7:30 am - 1:00 pm
· Seeking full-time or part-time hygienist
· Eaglesoft digital charts and scheduling software, digital x-rays, laser, iTero
· Starting pay determined by level of experience and skills
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Adult and child prophies
Quad scaling and root planing
Periodontal procedures, including: periodontal maintenance appointments, use of ultrasonic scaler, and periodontal charting
Educate patients on proper dental hygiene and care
Fluoride varnish application on adults and children
Keep x-rays up to date for patients
Place sealants as needed/recommended
Schedule patient recall appointments
Keep operatory stocked with necessary supplies
Complete thorough daily note documentation
Consistently provide outstanding customer service
Requirements
Maintains current New York state dental hygiene license
Completes required CE for licensure
Maintains CPR certification
Excellent computer skills
Excellent communication and people skills
Knowledge of all general dental techniques
Great attention to detail & a natural problem solver
Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA with written and verbal information
Motivated to learn more and provide the best patient care at all times
Works well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong work ethic, mature & proactive individual
