Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote oral health.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to inform treatment plans.
Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster lifelong healthy habits.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations and EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Support general dentistry procedures by assisting with various treatments, ensuring smooth workflow within the dental office.
Monitor patient vital signs during appointments to ensure safety and provide appropriate care adjustments as needed.
Uphold infection control standards through proper sterilization techniques, use of PPE, and adherence to OSHA guidelines.
Collaborate with the dental team on patient care plans, documentation review, and medical coding for billing accuracy.
Experience
Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental clinic or office environment.
Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical terminology.
Experience in pediatric dentistry or pediatrics is a plus for working with young patients effectively.
Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation review and medical records management is essential.
Demonstrated ability in chairside assisting, medical imaging, vital signs monitoring, and patient assessment.
