Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, focusing on preventive care and education. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. New Graduates are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal treatments for patients of all ages.
Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and documenting findings in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, dietary recommendations, and preventive care strategies.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Maintain infection control protocols and ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive patient care, including assisting with procedures as needed.
Utilize dental software systems for scheduling, documentation, and patient records management.
Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current with industry best practices.
Requirements
Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
Strong knowledge of general dentistry principles and practices.
Experience in a dental office setting is preferred; familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Understanding of medical coding related to dental procedures is advantageous.
Knowledge of infection control standards and best practices in a clinical environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate documentation review.
