Job Description
We are seeking a dependable, detail oriented, and customer focused Lab Receptionist / Dental Laboratory Assistant to join our growing dental laboratory team. This position serves as the first point of contact for clients while providing essential administrative and laboratory support. Responsibilities include case intake and tracking, client communication, invoicing, delivery and pickup of dental cases, and assisting with various laboratory production tasks. The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to multitask, and committed to accuracy and quality.
Case Management
Ensure all incoming prescriptions and case materials are complete and accurate.
Verify case details, shade information, impressions, scans, and supporting documentation.
Monitor turnaround times and proactively communicate potential delays.
Maintain accurate tracking of cases from receipt through delivery.
Laboratory Support
Pour and trim dental models from impressions according to laboratory standards.
Assist technicians with basic laboratory procedures and production tasks.
Glaze and finish crowns and other dental restorations as directed.
Prepare cases for delivery, ensuring quality control standards are met.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory workspaces and equipment.
Follow all laboratory safety and infection control protocols.
Delivery & Transportation
Deliver completed dental cases to dental offices using the company vehicle.
Pick up impressions, models, and laboratory work from client offices.
Maintain professional relationships with clients during deliveries and pickups.
Ensure cases are transported safely and securely.
Perform routine inspections and maintain cleanliness of the company vehicle.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous dental office, dental laboratory, or healthcare experience preferred.
Experience with data entry, invoicing, or customer service is preferred.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
Ability to learn dental laboratory procedures and terminology.
Proficiency with basic computer applications and office software.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Professional and courteous demeanor with clients and coworkers.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and expand laboratory skills and responsibilities.
Ability to lift and transport packages and case materials as needed.
