Location: L02 - 1555 St. Mary's Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R2M 5L9
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Turn Your Artistic Talent Into a Stable, Long-Term Career
Are you a fine arts, sculpture, or design graduate who wants a stable career but dreads the idea of sitting at a desk or staring at a computer screen all day? Do you love the process of crafting, sculpting, and working with your hands to create precise, beautiful work?
Dalton Denture Clinic Inc. is looking for an artistic, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a full-time Conventional Dental Laboratory Assistant. No prior dental experience is required. We are looking for raw manual talent, an eye for precision, and a strong work ethic. We will fully train you from the ground up in the traditional craftsmanship of denture fabrication.
Why This is a Great Career for Artists and Creatives
Tangible Craftsmanship: This is a strictly conventional lab role focusing entirely on manual bench skills—sculpting, pouring, and finishing.
A Stable Profession: Trade your skills into a reliable, steady career with consistent full-time hours in a high-demand healthcare field.
Paid Professional Training: Receive direct mentorship from an experienced Denturist, learning a specialized, lifelong trade while earning a competitive wage from day one.
Impactful Work: Use your artistic eye to help create appliances that restore confidence and change people's lives.
What You Will Learn and Do
Model Creation: Master the precise art of pouring, trimming, and articulating dental models.
Finishing and Polishing: Use specialized laboratory tools and lathes to finish, smooth, and polish dental appliances to a flawless, natural shine.
Material Mastery: Work daily with various specialized stones, plasters, and acrylics, understanding how they behave and cure.
Lab Operations: Maintain a highly organized, clean, and safe laboratory studio environment.
What We Are Looking For
An Artistic Background: A degree, diploma, or strong portfolio in fine arts, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry-making, or model-making is highly valued.
