Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Office Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care! Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment, ensuring accurate positioning and safety protocols.
Assess patient health by measuring vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration; review medical history for relevant health considerations.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
Manage electronic health records documenting treatment notes, medical records, and treatment plans accurately.
Maintain infection prevention standards by adhering to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA compliance to protect patient confidentiality.
Qualifications
Valid licensure as a Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations.
Proven experience working in a dental office or clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures.
Proficiency with dental software
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to oral health care.
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their dental health and foster positive relationships.
Commitment to infection control practices, including aseptic technique and healthcare infection prevention standards.
