Dental Office Floater (Front Office & Dental Assistant)

The Dental Office Floater is a cross-functional team member who supports both administrative (front desk) operations and clinical chairside dental assisting.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Prepare operatories for procedures in accordance with infection control protocols
Assist dentist during examinations and procedures (restorative, surgical, hygiene, etc.)
Take digital radiographs
Perform chairside assisting (four-handed dentistry)
Sterilize instruments and maintain sterilization logs
Maintain inventory and restock clinical supplies
Provide patient education on post-operative and oral hygiene instructions
Ensure OSHA and CDC compliance in all clinical areas
Greet and check in/check out patients in a professional and welcoming manner
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; assist with pre-authorizations
Present treatment plans and review financial arrangements with patients
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance
Answer and manage multi-line phone systems
Coordinate patient flow to minimize wait times
Support recall systems and reactivation efforts

Experience:
X-Ray Certification / Coronal polishing preferred
Dental receptionist: 1 year (Preferred)
Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
CPR Certification (Preferred)
Radiology Certification (Preferred)
