Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Administrator to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, coordinating appointments, and ensuring smooth office workflows. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with dental office software, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. The Office Administrator plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient service and supporting the clinical team.
Duties
Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner at the front desk
Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
Maintain accurate electronic medical records using systems such as Open dental ( introduction to software will be provided )
Verify patient insurance information and process billing and payments
Prepare and organize patient charts, forms, and documentation
Assist with administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and correspondence
Coordinate with dental staff to ensure timely patient flow and appointment scheduling
Handle administrative support for the dental office including supply management and record keeping
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
Requirements
Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a dental/medical office setting is highly preferred
Proficiency with Open dental electronic medical records, and other dental software systems
Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental practices
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience managing multi-line phone systems and front desk operations
Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to handle a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
Office experience in administrative roles within healthcare settings is desirable
Knowledge of open dental software, dental office procedures, billing, insurance verification, and record management is a plus

Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour
