Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth operation within our dental practice, contributing to a positive patient experience.
Duties
Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring optimal use of the dentist's time.
Maintain accurate patient records, including filing and updating health information management systems.
Handle incoming calls with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries effectively.
Assist in managing dental office supplies and inventory as needed.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient service and support.
Familiarize yourself with ICD-9 codes for accurate record keeping and insurance processing.
Skills
Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar role is highly desirable.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing files and records accurately.
Excellent patient service skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding in all interactions.
Experience in medical administrative support or working within a hospital environment is a plus.
Proficient typing skills to ensure efficient documentation and communication within the practice.
