In this pivotal front-office role, you'll manage all aspects of patient interactions—from scheduling and registration to insurance verification and financial counseling. Key Responsibilities
Manage patient appointment scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling with accuracy and professionalism
Conduct proactive patient outreach to remind patients of upcoming appointments and follow up on missed visits
Answer and route multiple telephone lines efficiently, documenting messages accurately and ensuring timely follow-up
Welcome and check in patients, ensuring complete and accurate registration documentation
Verify insurance coverage and patient demographics; identify patients who qualify for financial assistance programs and Sliding Fee Discounts
Process patient checkout, document follow-up appointments, and maintain organized medical records
Collect co-payments and process cash transactions with accuracy and integrity
Handle copying, faxing, and other administrative duties to support smooth office operations
Collaborate with team members on special projects and contribute to team meetings
Required Qualifications
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required)
Minimum of 3 years of dental office experience
Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office and dental management software (such as Athena Health)
Professional demeanor with a positive attitude and strong team collaboration skills
High school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) License
Nitrous oxide sedation monitoring certification
