Position Overview:

Job Title: Dental Program Manager.

Position Type: Full-Time, 40 hours per week.

Schedule: Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

Pay Range: $34.35 - $37.94 hourly depending on education and experience.

Position Goal:

The Dental Program Manager is responsible for overseeing and providing direct services for the I-Smile and I-Smile @ School Programs in Linn, Benton and Jones County (under the supervision of the public health dentist). The Dental Program Manager will serve as the lead dental hygienist and oral health expert for HACAP dental programs.

Qualifications & Conditions of Employment:

Education and/or Experience

Required:

Associate's degree in dental hygiene from an accredited dental hygiene program.

Licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the State of Iowa.

One year of dental hygiene clinical experience in private practice, schools, hospitals, or community/public health settings.

Ability to obtain a Public Health Supervision Agreement.

Preferred:

Three years of dental hygiene clinical experience in private practice, schools, hospitals, or community/public health settings.

Experience with pediatric population.

Conditions of Employment

Receive clearance by the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services on child abuse and criminal record checks upon employment and resubmit/receive clearance every two (2) years.

Complete Child Abuse Reporter training upon employment and update every three (3) years.

Complete Bloodborne pathogen training within ten (10) days of employment and update every year.

Current CPR certification.

Valid driver's license and car insurance.

Reliable transportation for on-the-job use.

Maintain required continuing education hours to retain state licensure.
