Job Description
Part-Time Dental Receptionist
Heritage Lane Dental | South Edmonton, Alberta
Compensation: $18–$21 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Saturdays mandatory, with possible additional weekday hours
Heritage Lane Dental is seeking a friendly, dependable, and organized part-time dental receptionist to join our team.
The successful candidate must be consistently available to work every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Additional flexible shifts may be available throughout the week, depending on clinic needs and the candidate’s availability.
Compensation and Benefits
Hourly wage of $18–$21, based on experience
Potential performance-based incentives
Access to internal staff dental benefits, subject to clinic policies and eligibility
Potential for additional flexible weekday hours
Opportunity to grow within an established South Edmonton dental practice
Responsibilities
Welcome and check in patients professionally and warmly
Answer incoming calls, text messages, and patient inquiries
Schedule, confirm, and manage dental appointments
Collect and update patient information
Process payments and provide receipts
Assist with dental insurance verification, estimates, and submissions
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
Communicate scheduling changes and relevant information to the clinical team
Help maintain an organized and efficient reception area
Support patient retention, appointment scheduling, and other practice performance goals
Qualifications
Previous dental reception or dental office experience is preferred
Experience with Dentrix or similar dental software is an asset
Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance processes is an asset
Strong telephone, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Professional, dependable, organized, and punctual
Able to manage multiple responsibilities in a busy dental office
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
Must be consistently available every Saturday
