Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing exceptional patient service, and supporting daily administrative functions. This role requires strong communication skills, familiarity with dental software, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Greet patients warmly and check them in using electronic medical records systems such as Opendental
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments via multi-line phone systems and online platforms
Verify insurance information and process patient payments accurately
Maintain patient records with attention to detail, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations
Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and professionally, directing calls as needed
Prepare treatment rooms and assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and correspondence
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth office operations and excellent patient experience
Manage appointment reminders and follow-up communications
Qualifications
Minimum 3 Years experience
MUST BE AVAILABLE 2 Saturdays a Month
Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Opendental is highly desirable
Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records systems required
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy front desk environment
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Office experience including handling multi-line phone systems and administrative duties preferred
Ability to work efficiently while maintaining professionalism and compassion for patients
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification or training in medical or dental administration is a plus
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
