Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Receptionist on Mondays & Wednesdays, where your energetic and organized approach will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. In this vital role, you will manage patient scheduling, handle medical and insurance documentation, and ensure a seamless front desk experience. Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly, verify appointment details, and check in patients efficiently using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Open Dental
Manage patient scheduling, appointment confirmations, and rescheduling to optimize clinic flow.
Collect and review medical billing information, insurance details, and perform medical collection activities in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Maintain accurate medical records, including documentation review and updates within EHR system.
Handle phone communication with professionalism, answering inquiries about appointments, insurance coverage, and general clinic information.
Support clinical confidentiality policies by safeguarding patient information according to HIPAA standards.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar front desk role within a dental setting.
Strong knowledge of dental administrative support functions including appointment scheduling, patient service, and dental insurance procedures.
Excellent customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities.
Bilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
Demonstrated clerical experience in a busy dental office environment.
Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
