Job Description
Job Title: Dental Receptionist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and organized receptionist to join our team. A successful candidate will be responsible for greeting patients with a smile, scheduling appointments to keep practice busy, completing tasks on time and maintaining patient records in an accurate manner.
Responsibilities:
Greeting, checking in and checking out patients
Answering phones and responding to patient inquiries in a timely manner and communicate with the team effectively
Scheduling appointments for recall visits and treatments needed for patients and coordinating with the dental team
Verifying dental insurance coverage and collecting payments for the services provided
Maintaining patient records and ensuring accuracy of data entered
Coordinating with other dental specialists and other healthcare professionals
Regularly checking on S+ Dental social media pages to respond to customer needs and improve marketing of the practice.
Helping out back office as needed (example: sterilization of instruments, Dental Op turnover)
Keeping the practice tidy and neat
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
Willingness to be cross-trained to help out back office
Previous experience in a dental office setting is NOT required but previous experience in customer service is highly preferred
