Job Overview:
We are seeking a Dental Receptionist to join our team. As a Dental Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service and administrative support in a dental office setting. This is a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the dental practice.
Duties:
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using dental office systems (e.g., Dentrix, Open Dental)
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details
- Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims
- Assist with billing and payment processing
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information
- Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed
- Follow up with patients regarding treatment plans and appointments
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Skills:
- Proven experience in a dental or medical administrative support role
- Excellent customer service and patient care skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in using dental office systems (e.g., Dentrix, Epic)
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and processing paperwork
