Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Dental Receptionist to join Dr. Austin Andrews team at Colwood Dental Group
We are saying goodbye to a much-loved member of our team who is off to pursue some exciting new dreams, and while we are definitely sad to see her go, we’re excited to welcome someone new into our dental family!
We are looking for someone who is happy, hardworking, flexible, and a great team player. We have an amazing team and a great office culture, and finding the right person to fit in with our crew is really important to us.
Dental Experience Is REQUIRED!
Please do not apply if you do not have previous dental reception experience. We are looking for someone who already understands the ins and outs of a dental office and can confidently jump into the role.
Experience with Tracker dental software is an asset.
The ideal candidate is:
Experienced in dental reception and comfortable with the day-to-day flow of a busy dental office
Familiar with Tracker software
Organized, dependable, and able to multitask
Flexible and willing to jump in wherever needed
Ability to handle the occasional challenging patient or stressful situation with professionalism
Happy, positive, and genuinely enjoys working with people
Hardworking and reliable
A true team player who enjoys supporting their coworkers
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Someone with a good sense of humour who can laugh, have fun, and contribute to a positive office culture
Confident communicating with patients, dentists, hygienists, and the rest of the team
Responsibilities may include:
Welcoming and assisting patients
Answering phones and managing patient inquiries
Scheduling and confirming appointments
Treatment coordination and estimates
Insurance submissions, pre-determinations, and claims
Processing payments and maintaining patient accounts
Managing recalls and patient communications
Maintaining accurate patient records
Working closely with the clinical team to keep the day running smoothly
Most importantly, we’re looking for the right person.
We have a really great team, and we want someone who will add to that. We’re looking for someone who is kind, positive, adaptable, hardworking, and willing to pitch in.
You need to be able to work hard, handle the occasional crazy day, laugh at yourself, have a sense of humour, and not take everything too seriously. Dental offices can be busy, unpredictable, and sometimes challenging — having a great attitude and supportive coworkers makes all the difference!
If you’re an experienced dental receptionist who knows your stuff, works hard, loves being part of a team, and enjoys having fun at work, we’d love to hear from you!
Dental reception experience is REQUIRED. Experience with Tracker is an asset.
Come join a team that is going to miss one of our own, but is excited to welcome the next great person into our dental family!
