We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team! Duties
Greet patients warmly and handle patient check-in and check-out processes with professionalism and care
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft
Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and manage billing using systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Answer multi-line phone systems efficiently, providing excellent patient service and addressing inquiries promptly
Assist with insurance verification, medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), and billing procedures to ensure accurate financial transactions
Manage office supplies, filing systems, and electronic health records (EHR) to support seamless clinic operations
Support the team with administrative tasks such as data entry (10 key typing), appointment reminders, and care plan documentation
Skills
Strong knowledge of medical collection processes, medical billing, and insurance procedures including Medicare and Medicaid
Proficiency in EMR systems like Epic, Meditech, eClinicalWorks, or Dentrix; familiarity with Eaglesoft is a plus
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing accuracy, and familiarity with office management software
Deep understanding of dental terminology combined with medical terminology for effective communication
Experience with HIPAA compliance standards to ensure patient confidentiality and data security
Ability to navigate multi-system environments such as Athenahealth or other health information management platforms
Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively
Exceptional phone etiquette, organizational skills, attention to detail in documentation review, and ability to multitask in a busy clinic setting
Prior clinic or dental office experience is preferred; strong office experience combined with customer service skills will be highly regarded
