Duties
Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere
Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages promptly
Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records accurately using Cleardent systems
Prepare patient charts, check-in paperwork, and ensure all necessary documentation is complete before appointments
Handle appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations with efficiency and accuracy
Assist with billing processes, including processing payments and explaining treatment costs to patients
Maintain a clean, organized front desk area while adhering to office policies on confidentiality and privacy
Experience
Previous experience as a dental receptionist is a must
Familiarity with Cleardent and MaxAssist (Recall Max) is advantageous
Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care
Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs) and office equipment such as multi-line phone systems
Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated administrative experience in healthcare or similar office settings is desirable
