Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Receptionist, where your energetic and welcoming presence will set the tone for a positive patient experience. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, patient records, and administrative tasks with efficiency and professionalism. Your proactive approach will help streamline daily operations, ensuring our office runs smoothly and patients feel cared for from the moment they walk through the door. Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a friendly and comfortable atmosphere
Schedule and confirm appointments using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Epic
Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, direct calls, and handle appointment rescheduling
Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records accurately
Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting payments and providing patient education
Maintain organized patient files and ensure all documentation complies with privacy regulations
Support clinical staff by preparing patient charts and coordinating communication between patients and providers
Qualifications
Prior experience working in a dental or medical office environment( especially with kids ) is highly preferred
Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Tracker or Dentrix is a strong plus
Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records systems is essential
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanor at the front desk
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing schedules and records
Experience handling multi-line phone systems and administrative tasks in a busy office setting
Ability to adapt quickly to new technology tools and office procedures
Bilingual (English and French)
