Job Description
Front Desk Receptionist
Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics of Jackson
We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and positive Front Desk Receptionist to join our busy pediatric dental and orthodontic practice!
Our office is fast-paced and team-oriented, seeing up to 80 patients per day. The ideal candidate is comfortable multitasking, staying organized under pressure, communicating with parents and patients, and providing excellent customer service from the moment a family walks through our doors.
What You'll Do
Answer and manage a high volume of incoming phone calls
Greet and check in patients and families
Check patients out and collect payments
Schedule and reschedule appointments
Schedule new patients and coordinate their first visits
Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility
Work with Medicaid and commercial insurance plans
Explain basic financial and appointment information to patients and families
Receive and send dental referrals
Update and maintain accurate patient charts and records
Communicate with parents, patients, doctors, and the dental team
Help maintain an organized and efficient front desk
Complete daily administrative and office duties
Assist with other responsibilities as needed to keep the office running smoothly

Able to multitask and prioritize throughout the day
Comfortable answering phones and communicating with patients
Strong attention to detail and organization
Reliable, dependable, and punctual
Professional and compassionate when working with children and their families
Comfortable collecting payments and discussing financial information
Previous dental or medical front-desk experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
Compensation:
$15–$21 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM–5:30 PM
Some Fridays required
