Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Billing Specialist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate coding and billing of medical services, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. This role is crucial in facilitating the financial operations of our medical office while ensuring that all billing practices adhere to industry standards.
Responsibilities
Review and process patient billing information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Prepare and submit dental claims to insurance companies and follow up on unpaid claims.
Maintain organized medical records and documentation for all billing activities.
Communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance representatives regarding billing inquiries.
Ensure compliance with dental terminology and coding guidelines in all billing practices.
Assist in resolving discrepancies related to patient accounts or insurance claims.
Process Payments and arrange financial agreements.
Secretarial duties such as answering phones and scheduling patients for appointments.
Qualifications
Proven experience in dental /medical billing or related field is preferred.
Strong knowledge of dental ADA coding, and medical terminology.
Familiarity with computer office systems and electronic health record software.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare providers.
