Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Receptionist/Assistant and become the welcoming face and efficient organizer of our busy dental practice! In this vital role, you will combine front desk responsibilities with clinical support, ensuring a smooth experience for patients from their initial appointment to their follow-up care. Duties
Greet patients warmly, check them in and out efficiently using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Epic.
Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and coordinate patient communications with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Verify patient insurance information, process payments, and handle billing procedures accurately.
Assist dental providers during procedures by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and managing supplies.
Maintain electronic medical records (EMRs) with precision, ensuring all patient information is current and confidential.
Answer incoming calls promptly, directing calls appropriately and providing exceptional customer service at all times.
Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing appointment reminders to keep the office running smoothly.
Qualifications
Previous experience working as a dental receptionist or in a medical/dental office environment is highly preferred.
Familiarity with dental software platforms such as Dentrix is preferred; experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) is a plus.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and healthcare documentation.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Outstanding communication skills for engaging with patients, staff, and insurance providers confidently.
Proven office experience including handling multi-line phone systems, front desk operations, and administrative support.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
