Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our new dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations at the front desk. This role requires strong administrative skills, familiarity with dental office procedures, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently. Prior experience with electronic medical records and dental management software is highly preferred. The Dental Receptionist will play a vital role in maintaining a welcoming environment and supporting the clinical team.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and check them in using medical and dental records
Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages accurately.
Verify patient insurance information and update records accordingly.
Collect payments and process billing transactions at the front desk.
Prepare and organize patient charts, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
Assist with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations to optimize office flow.
Maintain a clean and organized reception area to promote a professional environment.
Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and correspondence related to patient care.
Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient experience from check-in to check-out.
Qualifications
Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in a dental office setting is highly desirable.
Proficiency with dental management software such as ABEL Dent is preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and healthcare documentation.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, especially when handling multi-line phone systems.
Ability to multitask efficiently
Office experience including front desk responsibilities and administrative support is advantageous.
