Experienced Dental ReceptionistJob Summary
We are seeking an experienced Dental Receptionist to join our growing dental practice. This position is ideal for a professional, organized, and patient-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced dental environment.
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an essential role in creating an exceptional patient experience while ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk. The successful candidate will be confident managing appointments, patient communications, insurance coordination, and administrative responsibilities while supporting our clinical team in delivering outstanding patient care.
Responsibilities
Welcome patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure.
Answer and manage a busy multi-line telephone system with professionalism and efficiency.
Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments using dental practice management software such as Dentrix (experience with other dental software is considered an asset).
Verify insurance eligibility and process insurance claims accurately.
Collect patient payments, co-payments, and process financial transactions.
Maintain accurate electronic patient records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
Respond to patient inquiries regarding appointments, treatment scheduling, insurance, office policies, and payment options.
Coordinate patient flow with dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants to ensure efficient scheduling and exceptional patient care.
Complete daily administrative duties including recalls, confirmations, filing, correspondence, scanning, and data entry.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
Provide exceptional customer service by creating a positive and professional experience for every patient.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess:
Previous experience working as a Dental Receptionist.
Experience using Dentrix or other dental practice management software.
Strong understanding of dental terminology, insurance procedures, and treatment coordination.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Professional appearance with a warm, positive, and patient-focused attitude.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
