Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team in a fast-paced dental office environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding dental terminology and proficiency in electronic medical records systems, specifically Dentrix.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and manage their check-in and check-out processes.
Schedule appointments and confirm patient visits using electronic medical records systems.
To check and get patients' insurance coverage and sending Pre-determinations
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up to date.
Handle phone inquiries, providing information about services, scheduling appointments, and addressing patient concerns.
Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries.
Assist with insurance verification and claims processing as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to ensure a welcoming environment for patients.
Collaborate with dental staff to facilitate smooth office operations and enhance patient experience.
Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a Dental setting is preferred.
Familiarity with dental terminology and office procedures is essential.
Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems, particularly Dentrix or Epic, is highly desirable.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence.
Experience with phone systems and general office equipment is required.
