Job Description

We’re a general practice that is growing, and our full-time dental receptionist/dental assistant has decided to stay at home with her newborn child. Therefore, we have a full-time permanent dental assisting position available for a self-motivated, energetic, and efficient problem-solver. We value individuals who bring excellent customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and effective communication with both patients and team members. Experience in dental assisting is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of dental experience. Must be x-ray certified. Expanded functions are a plus. Must be an expert multi-tasker, eager to learn, organized, and punctual. As a patient-centered practice, candidates must be professionals that are attentive to our patients' needs and be able to provide exceptional customer service. Cross-training opportunities will be available.

Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for treatments and checkups, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns.

Select, prepare, and set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed for procedures.

Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols in accordance with regulatory standards.

Assist the dentist with procedures using 4-handed dentistry techniques.

Undertake lab tasks as directed.

Schedule appointments, maintain accurate patient records, and provide patients with oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.

Demonstrate knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization procedures.

Ensure understanding and adherence to health and safety regulations.
