Job Description
Healthy Teeth Dental is a family dentistry that aims to treat their patients like family. We are looking for a dental assistant/ receptionist for each of our 2 locations! Anaheim and Santa Ana. This is an entry-level position, we will provide hands-on training, but have dental assistant experience is valuable and highly recommended. We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who are willing to learn.
Duties:
- Greet and welcome patients to the dental office
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using Open Dental software
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Verify and update patient information in electronic medical records
- Assist with insurance verification and filing E.O.B.'s
- Collect and process patient payments, including via Care Credit
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, and contribute to cleaning the office
- Other misc. administrative duties as needed.
Back office duties
xrays and assist doctor, clean and set up rooms and instruments
Required Qualifications:
- MUST SPEAK SPANISH
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic Computer Skills; experience with Open Dental is a plus, experience with Google Applications is a plus (Google Drive, Google Photos, Google docs, etc.)
- Critical Thinking Skills
- CPR/BLS certification (Must already have or be willing to obtain)
- Infection Control certification (Must already have or be willing to obtain)
- California Dental Practice Act Certification (Must already have or be willing to obtain)
- Basic Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Communication and Customer service skills
Preferred qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a dental receptionist
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance protocols
- Dental X-ray license is a must
- Dental Assistant Certification is a must
- Familiarity with medical coding and billing processes
