Job Description
Folsom Dental Specialties is looking for a reliable, motivated, and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our growing team.
We are looking for someone who wants more than just a job. We want someone who is looking for a dental office where they can grow, develop their skills, take on more responsibility, and build a long-term future with the practice.
In return, we want to provide a workplace that is committed to our team members, supports their professional growth, and recognizes people who consistently contribute to the success of the office.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
Have hands-on Dentrix experience
Have previous dental front-office experience
Be dependable and punctual
Have excellent attention to detail -this is a must
Be comfortable answering phones and communicating professionally with patients
Understand dental scheduling and keeping the schedule organized
Be comfortable with patient check-in and check-out
Have experience with insurance verification and patient information
Be comfortable discussing and collecting patient balances/copays
Communicate clearly with both patients and team members
Be organized and able to follow through on assigned tasks
Take initiative instead of waiting to be told what needs to be done
Be willing to learn and accept feedback
Have a positive, team-oriented attitude
What Matters to Us
Reliability and attention to detail are extremely important in this position.
Our front desk is a critical part of the patient experience and the overall success of our practice. We need someone who understands that small details matter whether it is entering information correctly in Dentrix, confirming an appointment, documenting a conversation, collecting a payment, or following up with a patient.
We are looking for someone who shows up, follows through, communicates, and takes pride in doing things correctly.
Opportunity for Growth
We are a growing practice, and we want the right person to grow with us.
For someone who demonstrates reliability, leadership, initiative, and a desire to learn, there will be opportunities to expand their responsibilities and advance within the practice.
We want to invest in someone who is also willing to invest in us.
Please Read Before Applying
We respect your time, and we ask that you respect ours as well.
Only serious candidates who meet the qualifications above will be reviewed.
Dentrix and dental front-office experience are strongly preferred. Please do not apply if you are simply submitting applications to multiple offices without reviewing the position.
Screening Questions
When applying, please answer the following:
How many years of dental front-office experience do you have?
How would you rate your Dentrix experience from 1–10, and what functions do you regularly use?
What are you looking for in your next dental office?
Are you looking for a long-term position where you can grow and take on additional responsibilities?
Attention to detail is extremely important to us. Please include the word “SMILE” somewhere in your answer to this question so we know you carefully reviewed the posting.
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
