Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental team! Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations with professionalism and enthusiasm
Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft
Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing using systems like Meditech, Epic, or Athenahealth
Maintain and update patient records in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
Assist with patient intake, document review, and data entry including CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and medical terminology
Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette; provide clear information and direct calls appropriately
Manage filing, medical records, and office supplies to support efficient clinic operations
Assist with maintaining a clean office and workspace
Qualifications
Proven experience as a medical or dental receptionist with clinic or dental office experience preferred
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, dental billing, and coding including ICD coding standards
Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks; proficiency in Microsoft Office, esp Excel is a plus
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly under HIPAA guidelines
Bilingual abilities are desirable to serve diverse patient populations
Demonstrated clerical skills including typing (10-key), filing, and managing multi-line phone systems
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
The ability and knowledge to accurately estimate patient financial responsibilities
Cross-trained with dental assisting not necessary but given priority
