Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires strong communication skills, familiarity with dental and medical terminology, and experience with dental office software, our office uses Power Practice so experience with it is an asset but training on it can be provided. The Dental Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and a positive patient experience.
Duties
Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using Power Practice.
Handle multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, direct calls, and take messages
Verify patient insurance information and update records accurately
Collect payments and process billing in accordance with office procedures
Maintain organized patient files and ensure confidentiality of medical records
Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and correspondence
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient clinic flow and patient satisfaction
Manage patient check-in/check-out processes and prepare necessary documentation for appointments
Qualifications
Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a dental office setting is required
Proficiency with dental software such as Power Practice is a plus
Strong knowledge of dental terminology and electronic medical records management
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience working with multi-line phone systems and office equipment
Ability to handle administrative responsibilities accurately while maintaining professionalism under pressure
Office experience including front desk duties, appointment scheduling, and billing is highly desirable
Knowledge of dental office procedures and operations will be advantageous
