Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of medical and dental administrative procedures, and a commitment to providing outstanding patient service. As a Dental Receptionist, you will be responsible for managing patient appointments, verifying insurance information, maintaining accurate medical records, and supporting overall office operations to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience.
Duties
Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming environment at the front desk.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments using Opendental practice management
Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing inquiries with accuracy and attention to detail.
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including updating medical records and collecting payments.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist with insurance verification, authorization requests, and pre-treatment estimates.
Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism while providing exceptional customer service.
Support clinical staff by managing medical records, intake forms, and appointment scheduling efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area while adhering to office policies and procedures.
Requirements
Prior experience in a dental or medical office setting is highly preferred, with familiarity in dental terminology and clinic operations.
Proficiency in dental practice management software such as Opendentalor Dentrix is a plus..
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
Experience with insurance verification
Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse patient populations.
Exceptional phone etiquette, organizational skills, and attention to detail in handling administrative tasks.
