Orange Dental Clinic is seeking an organized, professional, and customer-service-oriented Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Coordinator to join our Vaughan and North York teams.
The ideal candidate must have prior experience working in a dental clinic environment and be comfortable managing patient communications, scheduling, insurance processing, and administrative operations while delivering an exceptional patient experience.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys interacting with patients, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is looking to grow with an expanding dental organization.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
Perform appointment confirmations, recalls, and follow-up communications
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits
Submit, track, and reconcile insurance claims through CDAnet and insurance portals
Process payments and maintain accurate financial records
Coordinate treatment schedules with dentists, hygienists, and clinical staff
Assist with patient retention and recall programs
Ensure compliance with privacy, confidentiality, and clinic policies
Support daily administrative and operational functions of the clinic
Qualifications
Required
Minimum 1 year of experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment
Strong understanding of dental terminology and treatment procedures
Experience with dental practice management software such as AbelDent (or similar dental software)
Knowledge of dental insurance claims processing and pre-determinations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office technology
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred
Experience with CDAnet submissions
Experience with treatment coordination
Knowledge of Ontario dental insurance plans and private insurance providers
Multilingual skills are considered an asset
