Job Description
Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Receptionist, where your energetic and welcoming demeanor will set the tone for a positive patient experience. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and ensuring smooth clinic operations.
Duties
Welcome customers in the dental office
Monitoring and filling schedule
Checking eligibility for Medicaid & PPO Insurances
Completing breakdowns for PPO insurances to determine if patients are required to make co-payments
Calling patients if insurance is unable to be verified
Updating patient records and documenting recent treatments and procedures.
Scheduling follow-up appointments and providing telephonic reminders.
Verifying methods of payment and collecting payments as needed.
Performing general office duties, such as answering telephones, photocopying, filing, and faxing.
Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
Light cleaning of reception and waiting room
Skills
Ability to multitask
Flexible and Reliable
Sound knowledge of dental terminology a plus
Proficient in dental practice management software (Open Dental).
Working knowledge of general administrative practices.
Good telephone etiquette & computer skills.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Certification in office administration, medical administration, or related fields is advantageous.
Attention to detail
High school diploma
Experienced (at least 1 yr) in Dental Office a plus but willing to train the right person
Knowledge of Dental software preferred
Bilingual ( English and Spanish) Required
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Education:
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
