Dental receptionist/insurance coordinator

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist and Insurance Coordinator to join our vibrant dental practice. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a warm, professional, and efficient experience from check-in to check-out. You will manage appointment scheduling, verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle treatment planning. Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and smooth check-in process
Schedule appointments efficiently
Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility
Process insurance claims accurately,
Collect payments, co-pays, and outstanding balances
Review and update patient medical records in compliance with clinical confidentiality policies and HIPAA regulations
Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette while providing excellent customer service
Treatment plan patients along with providing estimates for patient's out of pocket expenses.

Processing preauthorizations
Qualifications
3 years experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, health insurance processes, and billing procedures
Proficiency using Dentrix practice management software
Exceptional patient service skills combined with professional phone etiquette in handling multi-line phone systems
Spanish speaking a plus but not required
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and medical records management
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and clinical confidentiality policies
Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
